IKA

IKA GmbH (Ltd.) was established on 26 November 1982 and took up operations on 01 January 1983 as a supplier of carbon brushes and self lubricating bushings.

Willy J. Schoenen, the founder of the company, had been the managing director at Gotthilf Breining GmbH, manufacturers of carbon brushes, in Bonn, which he already joined in 1968. When founding the new company, he could therefore look back on 15 years of experience in the field of automotive electrics.

Breining was the O.E.M. supplier for Bosch, Lucas, Fiat and Ducellier (Valeo) and in the aftermarket known worldwide by its brand "GEBE".

g and b, on the one hand, are the initials of Gotthilf Breining, but, on the other hand, also symbolize the number 96 in reference to the foundation year 1896.

Today, the brand is a registered trademark of IKA GmbH.

Obliged to this long tradition, IKA has already from the beginning sold only products of initial-supplier quality or those meeting OEM standards. Top quality, years of experience and reliability have made IKA to a supplier of automotive electric spare parts as well as to an important partner for the car rebuilder sector.

Today

In the meantime, the range of products has continuously been broadened as can be seen in the new catalog covering AUTOMOTIVE SPARE PARTS FOR STARTERS AND ALTERNATORS.

Our customers include all well-known rebuilder of starters and alternators as well as special wholesalers and spare parts departments of car manufacturers.

IKA is a member of AUTOMOTIVE PARTS REBUILDER ASSOCIATION (APRA).

We consider it an obligation to keep on increasing our range of products to make our offer in spare parts as complete as possible. In doing so, our philosophy focuses on offering top quality at acceptable prices.
