Education
After his military service in the security platoon of the Army Command, Roman Schoenen studied humanities at the University of Leipzig and graduated with a Master’s degree in 2006. This was followed by a dual course of study at the University of Applied Sciences in Bergisch Gladbach, specializing in SME business administration, which he completed in 2009 as a Diplom Kaufmann (FH). In 2023, he completed his doctorate (Dr. phil.) at the University of Leipzig.
Professional career
From 2006-2009, Roman Schoenen was assistant to the management at IKA Industrie- und Kraftfahrzeugausrüstung GmbH. In 2009, he succeeded his father and company founder Willy J. Schoenen as Managing Partner of the company.
Commitment
As a reserve officer, Dr. Roman Schoenen is assigned to the Cyber and Information Space Command. He has also been appointed as an honorary commercial judge in the 2nd Chamber for Commercial Matters at Bonn Regional Court since 2019.
