Ghalib Alahrachi, ITG Manager at NRF, talks to Dr Roman Schoenen about the success story of an immigrant family in the German automotive aftermarket. The former managing director of the family-run business Alanko discusses how he built up his company and the Alanko brand, and how the takeover by NRF – in the form of an asset deal – came about.

Within two decades, the Alanko brand established itself and successfully positioned itself in the IAM through the repair and online sale of starters, alternators and, most recently, turbochargers. The integration of the Alanko brand into the Dutch NRF Group was a significant step for the Alahrachi family.
